"Many Hands Make Light Work"- Our Services

G.I.F.T.E.D. is committed to dismantling the effects of low socioeconomic status (SES) through a holistic approach that empowers communities. We equip individuals with the essential tools for fostering equity and inclusion, ensuring access to high-quality early education (ECE), cutting-edge technology, and skill development. Additionally, we value ownership of good nutrition, healthcare, and mental health support, tailoring our services to the unique needs of the communities we serve. Recognizing the intricate nature of SES challenges, we understand the necessity for a comprehensive strategy that extends beyond our initial focus areas. This entails addressing housing disparities, promoting vocational development and job creation, enhancing financial literacy, providing support for small businesses, investing in community infrastructure, engaging in policy advocacy, and more. As we embark on this journey, we eagerly anticipate collaborations with like-minded community-based organizations to collectively deliver impactful solutions. In our initial strides, we are proud to offer S.T.E.A.M academies for primary and secondary school-age children, distribute brown bag lunches during holidays and vacations, and facilitate English as a Second Language (ESL) programs for early learners and their parents. Through these initiatives, we aim to lay the foundation for a brighter and more equitable future.

S.T.E.A.M. Academies

S.T.E.A.M. is an innovative educational approach that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, providing a myriad of advantages for early learners. This dynamic educational model goes beyond conventional teaching methods, unlocking enhanced cognitive development, nurturing creativity, and refining tactile skills through engaging, hands-on activities. By shifting away from abstract learning, S.T.E.A.M. captures the imagination of students, alleviating boredom and bringing the classroom into the real world. The application of S.T.E.A.M. principles to everyday life not only enriches academic understanding but also cultivates a curiosity that fuels ongoing exploration. Additionally, S.T.E.A.M. plays a pivotal role in social and emotional development, fostering collaboration and resilience among students. Our enthusiasm to extend the reach of S.T.E.A.M. education to this community is driven by a commitment to unlocking its vast potential for our own early learners. Stay tuned for our quarterly calendar, which will provide details on the exciting S.T.E.A.M. opportunities we're eager to bring to your neighborhood.

"Dash & Dine" Brown Bag Lunch Program

Lunch programs have always played a vital role in promoting health, educational achievement, and social equity. They foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, establishing the critical link between nutrition and overall well-being. This connection does not pause just because children are on vacation from the school session. G.I.F.T.E.D. is committed to bridging the gap with our “Dash & Dine” Brown Bag Program. Our initiative acknowledges the paramount importance of well-balanced, nutrient-rich meals in the holistic development of children. Beyond academic performance enhancement, access to nutritious meals serves as a preventative measure against malnutrition and associated health issues. Proper nourishment empowers children to actively participate in extracurricular activities, fostering engagement, vitality, and overall wellness. More significantly, instilling good eating habits paves the way for a lifelong journey of healthier dietary choices. G.I.F.T.E.D. is dedicated to guiding our children along this path toward enduring well-being and healthier lifestyles.

ESL Camps

The impact of ESL extends beyond individual learners, reaching the entire family unit and fostering a sense of unity within the village that is our community. At G.I.F.T.E.D., we recognize that ESL is more than a curriculum. It is a vehicle that equips children and their families with the essential tools and confidence to thrive academically, socially, and economically.
